Watercress

Nasturtium officinale (Watercress)
Nasturtium officinale

Watercress, a relative of Nasturtium, it has a similar delicious radish, or horseradish flavor. Absolutely packed with healthy nutrients, it is very good in salads and adds a gourmet touch to sandwiches. You may also eat the sprouts as you would alfalfa.

Sowing Information
Watercress may be direct seeded about 1/2 inches apart, 1/4 inches deep. Thin seedlings to 4 inches apart and keep well-drained soil moist. Transplant to large pots or garden with soil that is fertile, humus-rich, well-limed, and has a pH around 7.0. Keep soil moist, or sit pots in pans of water and refresh water daily. 60 days to maturity.

Our 2010 shipping season has ended for our plants. All plant orders placed now will ship in April 2011. We do, however, ship seeds year round.
