Silver Drop Eucalyptus is a distinctive plant with round, bluish-green leaves that appear to be strung on their upright arching stems. Eucalyptus oil is used as an antiseptic, and to aid inhalation. It is beautiful in flower arrangements, whether fresh or dried. The most popular foliage for fresh, dried or preserved use.
Eucalyptus, Silver Drop Growing Tips Start indoors 10-12 weeks before last frost. Transplant outside after danger of frost is past. Direct seeding is not recommended. Space plants 12-14" apart. Eucalyptus likes full sun; well-drained fertile soil. Solar mulch is recommended in areas with short growing seasons. Harvest after leaves start to feel leathery.120-150 days. Easily preserves with glycerin. Dries extremely well. Entire plant can be harvested in the early fall before frost kills it.
