Amaranthus
Red Amaranth is a salad herb with mildly flavored leaves. It adds a splash of rich color and extra nutrition to salads! The ornamental quality of its large, red-centered foliage makes a bold statement in the garden contrasting nicely with other herbs and bedding plants.
Growing Tips Prefers sun and well drained soil. Harvest young leaves for best flavor.
Sowing Information Direct sow in warm soil in spring after all danger of frost has past. Cover seeds with 1/8-1/4 inch fine soil. Thin seedlings to 12" apart. Days to maturity: 50
