Mint, Corsican
Mentha requienii
The lowest growing and most unique-looking of the mints, Corsican mint also stands out as the flavoring for Creme de Menthe and other desserts and liqueurs. It has a very strong and crisp scent that is unmistakeable. The plant forms a dense, low carpet with such tiny, bright green leaves that from a distance it is almost moss-like. However, it can handle drier climates than moss and is excellent for the rock garden. It has a cooling effect on a garden, because of its fresh, stimulating scent, its light color, and the coolness of its springy foliage when walked upon barefoot in the heat of summer.
Growing Tips Little maintenance required. Use in rock gardens or between stones in a garden path.
